Lot Long
It's Been a Long Time Comin'
Lot Long began as a teenage conspiracy hatched in the cornfields of Indiana and matured into a deliberate, loud, and oddly patient rock project. Guitarist Warren Bullock and vocalist Michael R. Crider wrote the first songs in 1988 with an evil plan: record an album where the two of them handled every part. Life intervened, decades passed, and the plan collected dust—until 2024, when the now‑seasoned duo decided the joke was on time itself.
The result is Long Time Comin’, a heritage‑minded record that wears its influences proudly while refusing to be a museum piece. Across the album you’ll find big, melodic vocals and harmonies, blistering guitar work, thunderous low end, and arrangements that favor momentum over filler. Bullock and Crider swap lead vocals and instrumental duties with the kind of chemistry that comes from years of playing the same songs in different lives. From the acoustic‑tinged opening of “Cry Baby” to the record’s climactic cover of a Van Halen epic, the album moves between intimate moments and full‑throttle rock with a wink and a shove.
Lot Long’s sound is for listeners who like their hooks immediate, their solos unapologetic, and their production to feel lived‑in rather than lab‑perfect. The band shows up ready to play, ready to laugh at their own timing, and ready to make a case that some things are worth waiting for—especially when they arrive with amps cranked and a grin.
